Mrs. Beatrice Gary Smith, of 30 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Hartford, CT. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm Gary and Sadie Sullivan Gary and wife of the late Lester A. Smith. She is survived by four daughters, Antoinette Allen Smith and Officer Valerie Smith of Hartford, CT, Leatrice Grafton, Durham, NC, and Miriam Smith of Ellington, CT; two sons, William 'Chris' Smith of Tucson, AZ and Sgt. McDuffie (Pamela) Smith of Denver, CO; a foster son, Sherlock Graham-Haynes of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Roy (Rev. Clara) Gary, four sisters, Katherine Gray, Bettye (Billy) Isom, Martha Gary and Mary Louise (John) Kozma; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2pm., Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville, with Rev. Clara Martin Gary officiating. Burial will be in the Greenville Memorial Garden. The family is at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Rev. Clara Martin Gary, 104 Poplar Drive, Simpsonville, SC.April 3, 201604/03/2016
