Lynda Carol Valbracht Obituary

Linda ValBracht passed away into Jesus loving arms on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born on January 4, 1952, in Bay City, Texas to her parents Gene and Billie Linville.

Linda was raised in Del City and graduated from Del City High School in 1969. While in school Linda was involved in band, where she played the saxophone and the bassoon, as well as being a majorette. After graduation, Lynda went to work at Dillards and thereafter started her career at the IRS as a collection agent. Lynda retired from the IRS in 2010. Lynda loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren, Sunjata, Ibrafal, Daouda, Mame Diarra and Musa, who are very dear to her. She also loved her special son-in-law Bas, who she thought of as a son. She also spent time with her special friend and partner, Jerry Holland. They traveled together with their motorcycle friends and went on many trips to the Caribbean. She also loved going to the family cabin at lake Eufaula where she loved to swim and go fishing. Many times, she went to the lake with her sister Debbie where they would play Wii Mario for hours on end.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Tesa; her five amazing grandkids; sisters, Debbie (Kenny) and Leda; and many nephews and nieces, along with many great nephews and nieces. Waiting on Lynda in Heaven are her mother and father, Billie and Gene, and her two brothers, Johnny and Billy.

Lynda’s funeral will be at 2:00 on Tuesday, December 3, at Sunnylane Family Church, where Lynda was a faithful member. A burial will follow at Kolb Cemetery.
