Robert E. “Bob” Miller, age 76, of York, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 29, 2024 at Normandie Ridge in York following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Myers) Miller; together they shared 53 years of marriage.

Bob was born in Bloomsburg, PA on December 9, 1947 and was the son of the late Robert D. and Beatrice I. (Fahringer) Miller. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Throughout his life, he continued unwavering support of Veterans and Veterans programs. Bob worked for General Telephone for over 30 years and was a member of the IBEW Union. He was also a member of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene where he was active in church outreach programs and served as a Sunday School teacher.

In addition to his loving wife Mary, Bob is survived by his son Philip Miller; and his brother Raymond Miller. He was preceded in death by his son Samuel Miller who passed away in 1994; and his sister Carol Metz.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 3:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York, 3670 E. Market St., York, PA 17402 with Pastor Kent Vandervort officiating. Interment will be private. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00PM – 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at 3:00PM at the funeral home.
