John Thomas Murphy, Elk Grove Village (formerly of Des Plaines), died suddenly November 27, 2024. The eldest son born to the late John and Mary Murphy of Elmwood Park, he is survived by his children Kevin (Alison) Murphy, Erin Murphy (Brian Inzerello), Patrick (Kristina) Murphy, and the late Daniel (Almira) Murphy. He was a loving grandfather to Olivia, Aidan, Ginger, Miles, Declan, Emma, Zachary, Madison, and Logan. Fond brother to Jim (Maureen), Father Ed, Brian (Ruthe), Mary, the late Ann (Marty), Therese (Bob), the late Tom (Laurie), Jean (Pat), and the late Danny. He was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews, and great friend to all who knew him.
