Cheryl Lynn Archdeacon Obituary

Cheryl Lynn Archdeacon left this earthly realm on November 29, 2024. Born January, 21, 1959 to Sharon (Percival) and Mike Williams in Waxahachie, Texas, Cheryl spent time in both Texas and Iowa during her childhood and teenage years. A graduate of Western Harrison High School in Mondamin, Iowa, she proudly served her country in the United States Airforce during the late 1970’s. Cheryl served in the supply field, and in South Korea for a year, until the end of her service; for a short while, she was a member of VFW Post 3894, in Waxahachie. Later she worked in warehousing/ supply field and worked for Sterilite Corporation in Texas for 18 years, before retirement. A devoted wife and loving mother, Cheryl became the beloved bride of Paul Archdeacon, and the couple shared three children – Jason, Spencer (Cody), and Maggi, one grandchild – Kenlea, and 42 years together.

Cheryl had a sharp mind and was an avid reader. With the digital age, she enjoyed online books, though she could have started a small library of paperbacks with her extensive collection. Cheryl loved all music and had a special affinity for the movie 50 First Dates. She considered the beach as her Happy Place.

Loved by all who knew her, Cheryl had a great laugh and infectious smile. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother Sharon Garza of San Antonio; and father Mike Williams of Denison.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Paul Archdeacon of Waxahachie; children Jason Archdeacon of Waxahachie, Spencer (Cody) Archdeacon of Bolivar, MO, and Maggi Archdeacon of Corsicana; stepmother Karen Williams of Pottsboro; brothers Martin Williams of Florida, David Williams of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
