Melissa M. Ellingsworth passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2024. Born in Chester, Melissa spent most of her life in Delaware County before moving to Collegeville seven years ago. Melissa was a 1996 graduate of Sun Valley High School and was an active member of the ROTC program.

Melissa loved Christmas, Harry Potter and the Wizard of Oz. Melissa loved to laugh and was always quick with a joke.

Born at Sacred Heart Hospital, Melissa was the daughter of Patricia M. (Elder) Ellingsworth and the late Robert M. Ellingsworth.

She is survived by her mother Patricia, a daughter, Anna Ellingsworth of Delaware, two sisters, Victoria Ellingsworth of Collegeville, and Theresa Ellingsworth-Shrum of Pottstown, three nieces, Kathryn Shrum, Jillian Shrum, and Madison Downes, one nephew, Noah Ellingsworth, two aunts, June McAndrew and Judy Elder and one uncle, Daniel Elder.

As a final gift, Melissa was an organ donor through Gift of Life.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Melissa’s name be made to Gift of Life.
