Jean (Dunning) Oshel Wilson, 97 yrs, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Fremont, NE, passed away, November 29, 2024, at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha.

She was born on February 4, 1927, at Hill City, KS, to Ernest and Esther (Benedict) Dunning.

She married James Oshel on May 29, 1942, and they were married for 50 years. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1997. Jean married Ed Wilson and they were married for 5 years before his passing.

Jean worked at Campbell Soup in Fremont for 27 years as a purchase agent. Jeans hobbies included sewing, softball, painting, playing the guitar, dressing up for events and she enjoyed working with people as an activities director in retirement communities.

Jean is survived by her son, Bob (Linda) Oshel, of Cape Coral, FL; daughter in law, Mary Oshel of Ames, NE; daughter, Pat (Kevin) Neve, of Omaha, NE; brother, Gary (Delores) Dunning of The Dalles, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Oshel and Ed Wilson; son, Frank Oshel; daughter, Sheryl (Theron) Shelton; granddaughters, Kasie Oshel and Bobbi Jo Wegner (Oshel); brothers, Ken, Richard, and Gilbert; sisters, Oneida, Dee, Myrna, LaVern, Lavone, and Phyllis Jo.

The funeral will be Friday, December 6, 2024, 10 AM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Fremont.

The burial will be at Linwood Hill Cemetery in Linwood, NE at 1:00 PM.
