Geoffrey E. Warburton, Jr., 88, of Teaticket, MA, passed away on November 27, 2024 in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion C. (Whitmore) Warburton.
Geoffrey was born on December 26, 1935 in South Dennis, MA to his late parents Mary (Soden) and Geoffrey E. Warburton, Sr. He grew up in both South Dennis, and Brewster, and following high school Geoffrey went on to have a long and successful career as a Lineman, and ultimately, a foreman with the Electric Company. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, in Falmouth for many years.
Geoffrey loved antique cars and spent much of his time restoring his own antique cars. He also spent his time going on tours with his cars and attending various car shows. He was also a hobbyist and enjoyed repairing things like brass lights, horns, and clocks. More than anything, Geoffrey loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Geoffrey is survived by his daughter, Holly Hinds, and her husband Terence, of Titusville, FL; his son Geoffrey J. Warburton, Sr., and his wife Tammy, of Coventry, RI; his brother Richard Warburton, and his wife Vicki, of Brewster, MA; his sister Sally Coughlin, of Lake Worth, FL; six grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Frank, Geoffrey Jr., Julianna, and Alexis; and five great grandchildren Summer, Zachary, Taylor, Theodore, and Cole. Geoffrey was preceded in death by his wife, Marion C. Warburton, and his son Joseph Warburton.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), in Mashpee. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Falmouth.
