Franklin D Taylor, age 90, of Ivel, Kentucky passed away Friday November 29, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. Franklin was born at Swords Creek, Virginia January 29, 1934 the son of the late Will and Annie Perkins Taylor. He had been a coal miner. Franklin was also preceded in death by five brothers, Tom Taylor, Carl Taylor, Walter Taylor, Sam Taylor and Raymond Taylor, and three sisters, Infant Nora Taylor, Dorothy Jackson, and Mary Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by, his wife Lavonne Coleman Taylor, two sons, Ron and Carla Taylor of Lexington, Kentucky and Kenny and his wife Missy Taylor of Versailles, Kentucky, five daughters, Wilma Taylor of Pikeville, Kentucky, Debbie Robinson of Pikeville, Kentucky, Liz Taylor of Pikeville, Kentucky, Wanda and her husband Elver Ratliff of Richmond, Kentucky, Emily Reed of Berea, Kentucky, eleven grandchildren, Cristy Robinson, Lauren and her husband Zack Wheeler, Ross Taylor, Jonathan Ratliff, Colby and his wife Macey Taylor, Nick Taylor, Austin Taylor, Coleman Reed, Cora Reed, Wiley Reed, Bentley Keene, and three great grandchildren, Taylor Putty, Kayla Putty, Chloe Putty, and one brother Ralph and his wife Tina Taylor.

Visitation will be at J. W. Call and Son Funeral Home Sunday December 1, 2024 beginning at 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday December 2, 2024 with Morgan Chapman officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenhills Memory Garden in Claypool Hill, Virginia
