NILA IRENE (JOHNSON) FRALEY COLEMAN, 86 years of Big Rock, VA, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. Born in Buchanan County she was the daughter of the late Toy and Marie (Dye) Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and attended Grundy Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed crochet and working jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Danny Fraley and second husband Bascom Coleman; 6-brothres: Burley Johnson, Ersel Johnson, Lester Johnson, Harold Johnson, Billy Johnson, Eddie Johnson, 1-sister: Brenda Epling.
Those left to cherish her memory include 5-children; Danny (Linda) Fraley Jr., Big Rock, VA, Angela (Keith) Taylor, Big Rock, VA, Ralph (Gail) Fraley, Big Rock, VA, Willa (Tim) Jackson, Hurley, VA, Welthie “Babe” (Rob) Hankins, Big Rock, VA; 4-siblings: Janet Hankins, Bristol, VA, , Harry (Tammy) Johnson, Big Rock, VA, Haletta (Danny) Keaton, Big Rock, VA, Dolly Mullins, Elon, NC.
Also, survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for NILA IRENE (JOHNSON) FRALEY COLEMAN will be conducted Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 1:00 P.M at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Wimmer officiating. With burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
