In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Rose 

(1943 – 2024)

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Elizabeth Rose announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, November 29, 2024, at the age of 81.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of 63 years to Ronald Rose, and will be lovingly remembered by her sister Patricia Ford, her children: Ronald (Winnifred), Jacqueline Simmons (Neil), and Robert Rose (Claudette). She was a cherished grandmother to Amanda Burke (Kenneth), Laura Abbott (Colin), Samantha Matchim (Alex), Carl Simmons (Kayla), Elliott Simmons (Sarah), Lukas Rose, Makala Craig, Owen Rose, and Nicholas Rose. Elizabeth was also a proud great-grandmother to Delilah, Rayah, TJ, Oliver, Eric, Ryder, Ava, Ronnie, Ellie, Bailey-Jane, and Chloe.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kathleen (Rose) and Jerry Ford, her brother Jerome Ford, and her brother-in-law Jerry Landreau. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Elizabeth touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and infectious smile. Whether at home with family or chatting with someone at the grocery store, she had a gift for brightening the day of everyone she met.

Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday December 2, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd at 2pm from Barrett's Memorial Chapel.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory can be made to the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Western Bay.
