Mrs. Nelda Honeycutt Ganey, age 92 of Dry Prong, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Visitation for Nelda will be on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Bentley Pentecostal Church. Services will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10:00 am with Al Quartermont officiating. Burial will be at Frazier Cemetery following the service.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Lincoln Thompson, Heath Bass, Karl Schneider, Michael Griffin, Mason Ganey, Chad Jameson, Dexter Welch, and Darris Cline.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, Reecy and Audie Honeycutt; eight siblings (Nelda was the last of the 9 children); and husband of 61 years, Quinton Ganey.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Daniel Ganey (Sharon); daughter, Rhonda Schneider (Karl); grandchildren, James Michael Griffin, Amy Michelle Jameson, Wendy Lee Bass, Mason Daniel Ganey, and Sarah Danielle Watson; great grandchildren, Naomi, Gabriel, Eden, Griffin, Sophia, AnnaKate, Lincoln, Paisleigh, Rhett, and Lake; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Nelda was an avid church goer, God fearing prayer warrior. She loved the Lord, her savior. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church for over 49 years. She also loved Gospel quartet music. Her motto for her nickname that she had for her stubbornness since school was “N.E.L.D.A, walking in the way hornet. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
