Rensselaer - Susan R. Johnson, , 66, of Rensselaer, passed away Friday, November 29th 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

Susan was born September 29, 1958, in Troy, NY the daughter of the late Gerald and Joan (Travis) Brewster .

Susan had been the executive director for the Northeastern Safety and Health Council for 32 years until retiring in 2017.

Susan loved her dogs Dallas & Harlow and could be seen all over the neighborhood walking them.

Susan loved music, movies, traveling and spending time with her family. Susan was an avid Yankee fan and would regularly attend their spring training.

Survivors include her beloved husband Roger Johnson her loving Daughter, Lisa M. Marcella, her siblings Deborah J. (Edward) Van Volkenburg, Lori Brewster, Trudy (Bruce Phoenix) Canary; Geoffrey (Carol) Brewster. Susan was the proud Nina to NaTia Singleton, and Marcus Marcella,

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Glenn Brewster.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation hours 4-7 Wednesday evening December 4th at The Rockefeller funeral home 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer Funeral services will be 11 O'clock Thursday morning December 5th from the funeral home. Interment will be in the Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
