Barbara “Faye” Inge Sturm, 74, of Midlothian, passed away November 27, 2024 at home with her sons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Sturm and the aunt and uncle that raised her, Sallie Mae and Garland Pleasants.
She is survived by her sons, Garland “Ashley” Sturm and Graham Justin Sturm (Carlos); brother, Charles “Moe” Inge (Lisa); sister-in-law, Nancy Reynolds; nephews, Joe Inge, Tommy Inge, Matt Reynolds, and Micah Reynolds.
Faye graduated from Manchester High School in 1970. She was a former president for Falling Creek Farms Recreation Association. Over the years she babysat many children. Faye was a talented painter and seamstress. She was a wonderful mother and friend to those who knew her. She and her husband spent 37 happy years together, hosting friends on their “Farm” and in retirement enjoyed cowboy shooting as part of SASS under the aliases “Barbara Blue Eyes” and “Cumberland Lou.”
The family will receive family and friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday December 5, 2024 at Bliley’s Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road.
Services to be held 11 a.m. December 21, 2024 at Laurel Presbyterian Church, 9675 Staples Mill Road, Glen Allen, VA. 23060. Reverend Ann Cherry presiding. Lunch to follow.
