Mrs. Vickie Lynn Ayers, age 67, of Rome, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Ayers was born in Cedartown, Georgia on May 18, 1957, daughter of the late Buddy Daniel Corn and the late Mary Gibson Corn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Eugene Ayers, on November 27, 2024, by a brother, Danny Corn, and by three grandchildren. Mrs. Ayers was of the Baptist faith and worked for several years as a delivery person for the Rome News Tribune. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Jennifer Cross (Trevor), Mandi Bailey (Will), and Chad Gravley; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. & Mrs. Ayers will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Danny Hughes will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 2pm until 3:45pm.
