Helen Tomasko, age 95, of Manchester, NH formerly of Stratford and Trumbull, CT, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Helen was born June 11, 1929 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Joseph and Christine (Duch) Pjura.

Helen graduated from Stratford High School Class of 1947. She worked Sikorsky Aircraft and enjoyed traveling with her friends from Sikorsky. 

Survivors include her two sons Raymond Tomasko and his wife Denise of Manchester, NH and John Matthew “Matt” Tomasko and his wife Colleen of Harwinton, CT; four grandchildren Richard (Sue) Sonnati, Matthew (Cristine) Tomasko, Jonathan (Estelle) Tomasko and Erin (Christopher “Duke”) Kane; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by three brothers Joseph Pjura, George Pjura and John Pjura; two sisters Frances Maytas and Sister Mary Madonna Pjura and two grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT celebrated by Fr. James DiVasto of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Friends may visit with her family before service time from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
