Faye Rene Fowler, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Somerford Place with family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with dementia for 7 years.
Born on April 29, 1938, in Hagerstown to the late Scott A. Neibert and Leda Cornelia (Coffinberger) Neibert Deardorff.
She was a 1956 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a member of their reunion committee until her illness.
Faye was recognized by the community as she worked at Eyerly's, A&P, and Super Fresh. She retired from Super Fresh in 1994.
Faye was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was an active in the Morning Moments Women's Circle and Dickens Fair.
She is surrvived by her daughter, Karan Kendall and her husband Larry of Smithsburg with whom she resided before moving to Somerford Place. She is also survived by stepdaughter Kriste Grabill and her husband Donnie, daughter-in-law Jane Fowler, grandchildren Lauran Kendall and her long time boyfriend Scott Franick, Jason Kendall and wife Kirstin, Ryan Grabill and girlfriend Tyler Stanton, Staci Hullinger and husband Trevor, Dan Fowler and wife Jill, Jamie Brown and husband EJ. She also had 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years David W. Fowler, stepson Douglas Fowler, sister Betty Crowe, brother Richard Neibert, and dear friend Paul Wayne Grossnickle
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
