It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Ricardo “Cardy” Taborn, who left us on November 29, 2024 at the age of 58. 

Cardy was born on November 29, 1966 in Piqua, Ohio. The son of his late father Marshall “Pete” Taborn and his late mother Sue Lee Spradling. He is preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, and one daughter. Marshall Taborn Jr., Darren Taborn, Brian Taborn, William “Lamont”  Spradling, Timothy Spradling, Vanessa Scott Lochard, and Amy Jo Bell. 

He is survived by siblings Cameron Taborn of Springfield, Ohio; Kenny (Linda) Lee of Sidney, Ohio; Shawn Taborn of Richmond Indiana; Susan Taborn of Sidney, Ohio; Stacy Clark of North Carolina; Chris Scott of Piqua, Ohio and Pat Spradling of Dayton, Ohio. Additionally, he is also survived by his significant other Christina Ball.

He is survived by his loving children, Ricardo Lenhart, Lamar Taborn, Keela Taborn, Lorenzo Taborn, Celena Taborn, Darren Taborn, Devin Taborn, Aliyah Taborn, and Timothy Hudgins, as well as nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Cardy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing cards and listening to music. He was an avid fan of OSU football and the Green Bay Packers. With great pride, he loved attending his children’s sporting events.  Among many things, his favorite detail in life was being a grandfather “Papaw”.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 4 P.M until 6 P.M. at Adam’s Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd. Sidney, Ohio. Funeral services will directly follow Visitation.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.theadamsfuneralhome.com.
