Eric began his career as a welder, making trailers for Bob Taylor in Bethel, Ohio. It was in Bethel that he met his Debbie. They were married for 34 years this past June.
Eric had a 33 year career at EGC Construction, beginning on March 6, 1991. He started with EGC at the P&G Ivorydale Plant, working with several trades, including the civil crew, iron workers, and millwrights. Eric was always willing to help in any area he could. He spent the majority of his career in the EGC Piping Group, where he rose to the position of superintendent. He was known for being fantastic with clients, as well as an outstanding mentor and teacher. Eric was an incredible part of the team. The amount of knowledge he possessed can never be replaced. He will always be remembered as a master of his craft, but more importantly, as a gentleman in a not so gentle industry, and a dear friend to all who knew him.
Eric was passionate about nature, animals, wildlife, and his farm. Nothing compared to time spent on his John Deere tractor. He was knowledgeable on so many fronts and very quick witted. He always had the ability to light up a room. The immense love and care he had for his people was forever expressed in his words, but most impressionably in his actions. Eric was forever caring, kind, considerate, and always possessed a genuine concern, blessed with a true listening ear.
Throughout his life’s journey, Eric remained a believer in The Holy Trinity, and was a faithful man of prayer. Forever devoted to faith, family, friends, and altruism.
