Born to Liddie and George Morton, Katheryn Trice was the sixth of seven children, with five sisters and one brother. She received her education in the Chester County School System and graduated from Vincent High School.
On December 11, 1949, Katheryn married Bradie Trice. Their union lasted for fifty-four years until his death. They were blessed with two children, Gary and Corlis. Katheryn dedicated over two decades of her career to the Southwest Human Resource Agency, serving as a resource agent at the Neighborhood Service Center.
Katheryn was a devoted member of the North Henderson Church of Christ, where she
was very active until her health failed. She cherished time spent with family and
friends and played a significant role in raising her grandchildren. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes, and Christmas was her most beloved holiday.
Katheryn's unwavering faith in God was evident throughout her life, regardless of her physical condition. She was a woman of honor and integrity, whose spirit was recognized and appreciated by many.
Preceding her in death were her parents, siblings, husband, Bradie, and son, Gary. She leaves behind a legacy of love to her daughter, Corlis Spencer; grandchildren, Kevin (Monique), Gareta, and Danielle (Preston); and great-grandchildren, Michael (Tiernie), Shania, MaKalya, Bradie, Kaylee, and Presley. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
