Vera Moore, 78, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. Born on April 18, 1946, Vera was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother who spent her life dedicated to her family and her faith.


She is survived by her husband of many years, Frankie Moore; her children, Sylvia Moore Thrift and Russell Moore; her beloved grandchildren, Emily Thrift Dukes, Jake Moore, Molly Thrift Davis, and Walt Thrift; and her precious great-grandchildren, Brantley Moore, Tate Dukes, Whit Dukes, Stella Barnes, and Rowdy Davis.


Vera was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Moore; her mother, Edna Stewart; her stepfather, Claude Stewart; and her sisters, Diane James and Barbara James.


A homemaker throughout her life, Vera took immense pride in caring for her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she loved them all deeply. Vera was also a devoted Christian who lived her faith with steadfast dedication, finding comfort and strength in her beliefs.


The family will receive friends and guests at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm and the funeral service to celebrate Vera’s life will begin at 12:00pm..


Vera will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her steadfast faith, and the legacy of kindness and devotion she leaves behind.
