In loving memory of Roberta “Bertie” Vincent (nee Johns) 95 years, who passed away on Friday, November 29th, 2024, at Finlandia Village.

Beloved wife of Lloyd Vincent, predeceased. Loving mother of Sandy Hanson (Ron), Keith (Sue), and Nancy Keller (Mark). Cherished Grandma to Leslie Proulx (Micheal), Lori Salik (Les), Nicki Fortin (Chris), Kerry Vincent (J.P.), Matt Hanson (Dora), Jon Keller (Ashley), Chris Hanson (Mona), and Jason Keller. Great Grandma to Ryan, Emilie, Marcus, Eric, Sophie, Julian, Teddy, Nisha, Adrian, Harlow, and Ava.

Predeceased by her parents Hattie and Charles Johns, and siblings Alice, Vera, Pearl, Ruby, Lucy, Lloyd, Roy, Currie, and Pete. Survived by her brother Fred Johns.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Roberta worked at Levine’s Ladies Wear until her retirement. She loved to bake delicious donuts, butter tarts, and pies. She also enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren. Roberta loved her animals, and always had a dog or cat by her side. In their early years, Lloyd and Roberta loved to square dance. They also enjoyed summers at their camp on Lake Nepewassi, bowling, bingo, and frequent trips to the casino. Roberta was a member of St. Mark’s United Church.

There will be no visitation or service. Burial in the Civic Mausoleum and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
