William Charles "Bill" Edgar of Cisco left this life Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the age of 84.

Bill was born January 5, 1940 in Gorman to Richard Wines and Bonnie Ruth Garrett Edgar.  He attended Moran High School, and served in the United States Army following graduation.  He married Linda Prickett in 1963 and the couple made their home in Cisco.  He was self-employed as a brick and rock mason and formerly served on the Cisco Volunteer Fire Department.

He was an avid Cisco Loboes fan and attended events and supported many children throughout his life. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends showed by his supporting, coaching and/or just aggravating each of them.  He was known for his beautiful masonry work around Cisco and other communities.  He will be missed dearly but leaves behind a legacy of memories and beautiful art work.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patsy Scott and brothers R.W. Edgar, Jimmy Edgar, Earl Edgar, Ricky Edgar and Jackie Edgar.

He is survived by his wife Linda; daughters Lori Boyd and husband Carter and Tracie Ledbetter and fiance' Toby Madsen; son Stacy Edgar and wife Kerrie; brother Tommy Edgar and wife Barbara; grandchildren Krista, Justin, Jacob, Leslie and Layne and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Bill Edgar and his family generously donated his body to research through the Texas Tech University Willed Body Program.

A visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, followed by a 2:00 PM memorial service in the Kimbrough Memorial Chapel, with Larry Driver officiating.

The family extends special thanks to Kinder Hearts Home Health and Hospice, especially Rosa Cervantez, Molly Kennedy, Stacy Espinoza and Don Armstrong, for their care of Bill in his last days.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
