Leroy Arthur Harris Obituary

Leroy Arthur Harris passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born on November 10, 1942 in Harrison, Michigan to the late Leroy and Vernice (Griffin) Harris.


Leroy was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hard worker and was employed at General Motors for 30 years, during this time he met Beverly and remarried. Leroy and Beverly were happily married for many years.


Throughout his life, Leroy's favorite pastime was boating. He also enjoyed cooking, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. He was a long-time member of PMYC (Poor Man's Yacht Club) and also a member of Bayside. He had many beloved friends from both of these clubs.


Leroy was preceded in death by his loving wife Beverly; his son Steven; and his step daughter Debra.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa, step children Mark (Ingrid), Robert (Beth), Steve (Vivi Anne) and Richard (Lisa); his grandchildren, Giavanna, Marissa, Brianna, Ethan, Nolan, Kendall, Nicolas, Kayla, Felisia, Shannon, and Richard (Megan); as well as many great grandchildren.


Leroy was greatly loved and will be tremendously missed by all who knew him.
