Mr. Hugh O. Patton, 76, of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Patton was born January 21, 1948, in Newnan, son of the late Cullen Reid Patton and Ninetta Hamby Patton. A veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, he lived in Coweta County most of his life, was a registered land surveyor for more than 40 years, and owned Hugh Patton Land Surveying. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved being with his daughter and granddaughters,
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Jaime and Anthony Long of Sharpsburg; and his granddaughters, Taylor Beigle and Kinley Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. Patton; son, Christopher Patton; and his brother, Cullen R. Patton, Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, at Luthersville Baptist Church. The Reverend Dan Dixon will officiate and interment will be in Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 2.
