With deepest regrets we announce the passing of Bethany Joan Bambara, (nee Schilling) She is survived by her children Matthew, Zachary, and Delainey Katz, her mother Luana Schilling, her sister Kimberly Schiro (Jeffrey) her niece and nephew Madison and Jackson Schiro and her partner Russell Ritzer. She grew up in Baldwin and was active in many school and community sports. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University and her Master's Degree in Education from Long Island University. She spent many years as a camper and then as a counsellor at Camp Ma-He-Tu in Bear Mountain. She was an avid NY Ranger fan and supported their charity, Garden of Dreams Foundation. She found Dr. Kenar Jhaveri who kept her kidney disease (FSGS) at bay for many years and supported nephcure.org, a non-profit kidney charity founded by the father of one of his patients. She traveled and cruised with her children in the last few years making lifetime memories. She will be missed.
