James Helfers, 86, of Des Plaines, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Northwest Community Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Doris Helfers. Loving father of Kristin (Joe) Campos, Julie (Steve) Callahan, Jennifer (Brian) McCarthy, Jill (Carl) Permanian. Cherished grandfather of Jenna, Joey (Melanie), Josh, Ryan, Matthew (Chloe), Michael, Stevie, Tom, Scott, Kevin, Kate, Zack, and Nick. Fond Uncle of many. Great grandfather to Quinn, Paxton, Molly, and Lily. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alma Helfers, and brother Ed Helfers.
James was the best father in the whole wide world and will be missed dearly.
