RYMER: Irene Betty (nee Evans)– passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2024, at Dearness Long Term Care Home, London, Ontario in her 99th year. (12 days short of the 100 milestone)

Loving wife of Thomas Rymer who passed away June 8, 1988. Married from December 9, 1944 – June 8, 1988. Loving long time partner of Ernie Smith who passed away January 29, 2021.

Survived by youngest son Len and wife Deb Rymer of London, son-in-law Wray Brown of St Williams. Irene will be sadly missed by grandchildren Kelli Brown and partner Dave Beauvais of St. Williams, Stuart Brown and wife Stacey of St Williams, Jason Rymer and partner Tammy Pietersma of London, Scott Rymer and wife Jody of Langton, Colleen and Dave McKinnon of Waterdown, Justin Rymer and wife Krystle of London, and Blaire Rymer (Charette) and partner Keith Newman of Thorndale. Irene will, also, be missed by 19 great grandchildren: Zachary Zerbes, Matthew Zerbes, Anthony Tyler Rymer, Berlin Rymer, Cruz Rymer, Mila Rymer, Taylor Brown (Gallagher), Joshua Brown, Meghan Rymer, Owen Rymer, Nathan Rymer, Leah Rymer, Rachel McKinnon, Rilyn McKinnon, Tyler Rymer, Evan Rymer, Krystin Rymer, Mala Charette, Kyra Charette. Great great grandchildren:

Owen Gallagher, Hayden Gallagher.

Predeceased by daughter Shirley Brown, son Harry Rymer and Harry’s long-time partner Diane Robinson.

Irene worked on the family farm until moving into Port Rowan in 1988. Once in town, Irene could be found working in the garden and greeting neighbours on the front porch.

Relatives and friends will be received in the Jeffery W Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Road Port Rowan on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 2 - 4pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Port Royal Cemetery.
