Carolyn Nurney Jones Obituary
Carolyn Nurney Jones (77) of Suffolk (Windsor) Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on November 29.
She is survived by her husband John E. Jones of Suffolk, VA; and a brother, Carlton Bert Nurney of Suffolk, VA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Ward Nurney and Violet Nell Lewis Nurney of Windsor, VA.
Carolyn retired from the Suffolk Public School system and touched the lives of many students, teachers, and administrators. Carolyn had a special love for the beaches of the NC Outer Banks, taking care of her beloved pet Ruthie, and feeding wildlife in her backyard. Carolyn had a special love for lost and rescued dogs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00PM on December 5, 2024 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory (509 W. Washington St. Suffolk, VA). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
