KEWANEE - Sandra J. Lang, 67, of Kewanee, passed away peacefully at 8:25 a.m., Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home with her loving family at her side.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Per her wishes no funeral services are planned. Cremation will take place following the visitation. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Henry County Humane Society - Kewanee Chapter.

She was born November 1, 1957 in Dixon, IL, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Miller) Waldschlager. She is survived by a daughter, Sarah (Chris) Garcia of Galva, a son, Joshua (Shanquala) Lang of Midway, GA, eight grandchildren; Xavier, Sean, Nehemiah, Serenity, Kenzie, Shane, Christopher and Deagan, a great grandson, Amias, a sister, Diane “Lynn” (Lyle) Haines of Dixon, two nephews, Ben Jackson and Nick Haines and her special friend, Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald “Scooter” Lang, a brother, Patrick and a sister, Kathy Reader. She had been married to Donald “Butch” Lang and he also preceded her in death.

Sandra graduated from Dixon High School. She had worked as a laborer at Pines/Great Dane for 29 years until her retirement in 2021. She enjoyed fishing, riding her “Trike”, her dogs and cats and gardening with Paul. She especially loved and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
