Betty Ross Tanquary Camp Obituary

Betty Ross Tanquary Camp, age 97, of Vincennes, Indiana, formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Aperion Care Nursing Home in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on August 14, 1927 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Edgar C. and Estell (Pinkstaff) Tanquary. She married Earl ‘Steve’ Camp on May 25, 1978, and he preceded her in death on September 04, 2015.

Betty worked in the advertising department for WAKO Radio, and she thoroughly enjoyed and loved her time working there. She also worked for the Lawrenceville Daily Record and Hazel’s Clothing Store. She was a member of the Chauncey United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her cats, having lunch with her friends, and traveling to Florida in the winter to visit with Timmi.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.

Survivors include two daughters, Timmi Jill Henry of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Kim (Henry) Richey of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two granddaughters, Brielle Stephens and Chloe Fuller and husband, Greg; and loving friend, Nancy Standarski.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 02, 2024 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
