Kurt A. Krakau, 72, of Marinette passed away on November 28, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area. He was born on April 16, 1952, in Milwaukee, the son of Richard and Elma (Nietschke) Krakau.
Kurt grew up and spent most of his life in the South Milwaukee area, later moving to Marinette. He was a true outdoorsman, and loved spending time hunting and fishing, and enjoying nature. Music was one of Kurt's favorite passions and shared that love for music with his family and friends. Kurt cherished time spent with his family, friends and loved ones, creating lasting memories through shared laughter and stories.
Kurt was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marinette.
Kurt is survived by his wife of 34 years, CarolAnn Krakau; his children, Jessica (Gary) Reed, and their children, Mikayla and Carynda; Christina (Jeff) Kubash, and their children, Brittany and Samantha; Richard (Abby) Krakau, and their children, Anthony and Jeremy; and Christopher (Chayna) Krakau, and their daughter, Raegan; his brother Bruce (Elizabeth) Krakau; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Kurt will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, 6080 South 27th St., Milwaukee, WI 53221, from 11am until 12:30pm, with a service beginning at 12:30 pm.
