Roger Warren Heebner, 75, a resident of Skippack, PA, since 2019, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024. He and his wife, Jo-Anne (Turner) Heebner, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on April 30th of this year.
Born June 5, 1949, in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Lester S. and Mabel (Ballantyne) Heebner. He was a 1967 graduate of Norristown High School and earned his master’s degree in engineering from Villanova University. He began his career as a civil engineer working with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Conrail. He then worked for several other private firms throughout the duration of his professional career. He retired in February of this year.
Mr. Heebner was an active member of Central Schwenkfelder Church where he taught adult Sunday school classes for several years. He was also a valued driving force on the R4 Renovation Committee for the church’s recent addition and renovations. He served on the board at Traditions at Skippack and enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He enjoyed time with family and spent many hours and days attending sporting events and activities of his sons and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Josh Heebner and his wife, Laura, of Skippack, PA, Ben Heebner and his wife, Denise, of Georgetown, TX, and Tim Heebner and his wife, Megan, of Harleysville, PA; and six grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Andrew, Lucy, Addison, and Charlie. He is also survived by a brother, Gerald Heebner and his wife, Laura, of Lansdale, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Heebner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 South Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA, where the family will receive friends from 9-10:45 am. Burial will follow in the adjoining Garden of Memories. For those desiring, contributions may be made in his memory to either Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 S.
