Jolaine R. Hubl, 84 years old, of Blue Hill, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

A Rosary service will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Blue Hill, Nebraska with Father Adam Sparling officiating. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska.  Memorials can be given to the Blue Hill Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  The service will be live-streamed on Merten-Butler Mortuary’s website.  To view the service, go to Jolaine’s obituary and click on the play button towards the bottom of the page.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mertenbutlermortuary.com. Jolaine was born on May 15, 1940, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Floyd and Velma Robertson. She attended Red Cloud High School and graduated in 1958. After graduation, she earned her degree from Lincoln Business School of Commerce, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Following college, she worked at City National Bank of Hastings from 1960 until September 1961. Jolaine married Richard P. Hubl on September 12, 1961. She worked at Blue Hill Bank from 1967 to 1976 before becoming a full-time homemaker and helping out on the family’s farm. She enjoyed baking, especially her, “famous apple strudel”, and spending time with her family along with her pets.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Perry & Blanch Hayden and Beach & Etta Robertson; her mother, Velma Robertson, in 1973; her father, Floyd Robertson, in 1988; and her brother, Duane, in 1974. Jolaine is survived by her husband, Richard; her children: Joe Hubl and wife Lisa of Blue Hill, Sandy and husband Don Elings of Fort Worth, TX, Tammy and husband Keith Lowery of Blue Hill, and Rick Hubl and wife Karen of Lawrence. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren: Jessica Rose, Eric Hubl, David Lundquist, Amber Trader, Jennifer Ramirez, Kyle Lowery, Travis Lowery, Sydnie Spiegel, Ashley Olson, Afton Alber, Chrissy Ehlers, and Courtney Buerer, as well as 27 great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild on the way.
