Frederick Bruno, Jr., age 89, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at home. Born July 21, 1935 in Steelton, he was the son of the late Carrie (Acri) and Frederick Bruno, Sr.
Fred retired as a quality supervisor from AMP, Inc. He was an antique automobile enthusiast whose favorite color was chrome. Also, an avid fan of both Notre Dame football and the Phillies as well as the Eagles.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Shirley M. (Wallace) Bruno; son, Frederick Bruno, III and wife JoAnn of Mechanicsburg; sister Mary Lou Purvis of Venice, Fl; two grandchildren, Aaron Bruno and wife Adriana and April Riley and husband Brian and his five great-grandchildren, Briella, Asa, Eli, Xavier and Miles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bruno.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, December 4, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
