Charlotte “Charlie” Dylus, age 82, of Brown City, died Wednesday November 27, 2024. She was born January 19, 1942 in Detroit, to George and Viola (Rumph) Rozanka.

Charlie married Richard “Dick” Dylus on July 3, 1970, he preceded her in death on June 26, 2007. She graduated from High School in Detroit and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Business. Charlie worked many years in Bookkeeping, Accounting and toward the end of her career in Tax Preparation. Mrs. Dylus was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brown City and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burnside. As a young woman, before she married Dick, Charlie was ahead of her time riding her motorcycle around and having a good time. She enjoyed golfing and bowling, even coaching the bowling team at Brown City Schools. Mrs. Dylus was an excellent cook, everything she made was delicious, and she always wanted to be sure there was lots of sugar involved.

Mrs. Dylus is survived by her children: Keith (Linda) Dylus of Ortonville, Kevin (Laura) Dylus of Weaverville, North Carolina, Amy Miller of Davison and Julie Murphy of Kalamazoo; grandchildren: Grant Dylus, Bruce Dylus, Alex Dylus, Crystal (Matt) Kiley, Molly Banes, Craig Banes, Jack Banes and Isaac Harter; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Bailey of Clarkston and Gladys (Robert) Troshynski of Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dick Dylus; parents: George and Viola Rozanka; and brother: George Rozanka.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held from 1-5PM Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 1021 S. Lapeer Rd., Lapeer, MI 48446.
