A funeral service for Joseph R. Parsons, “Joe Baby” age 85, of Heath, will be held  at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, at The Heath Chapel at Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, with Pastor Dave Mason, officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home the same day as the service.

Mr. Parsons passed away November 29, 2024. He was born in Newark, Ohio on October 30, 1939 to the late Orville Preston and Pearl Eva (Nethers) Parsons.

Mr. Parsons loved to play the guitar and was a member of the bands, “The Furys" and “Second Time Around.” He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He served as the assistant superintendent for The Ohio Department of Transportation, Hebron Post, for several decades.

He is survived by his daughter, Lindy Parsons; three grandsons, Bryden Parsons (Abigail Bond); Keylan Williams and Payton Lees; two great-grandchildren, Luca and Elza Parsons; two sisters, Virginia, “Jane” Lombardo and Nancy (Larry) Poston; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parsons, was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Dianna J. Parsons; a great-grandson, Josiah Parsons; two sisters, Donna Jean Vaiea and Barbara (Nyril) Clark; and brother-in-law, Augustus Lombardo.
