Michael J. Wheeler of Lockport, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at home. Born on August 1, 1951 in Cheektowaga, NY, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Bogacki) Wheeler. He and the former Debra A. Darroch married on September 13, 1969. In 2013, Michael retired from General Motors as a journeyman model maker after 35 years and in his retirement drove school bus for Ridge Road Express.

Michael enjoyed his work and liked grocery shopping, cooking and deer hunting. He had a great sense of humor and was a man of habit.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Debra A. Wheeler; two children, Carrie (David) Dzierba and Sean Wheeler; four grandchildren, David, Jr. (Britni) Dzierba, Caitlin Dzierba, Devin Dzierba and Connor Dzierba; great – granddaughter, Chloe Dzierba; Siblings, Larry (Wendy) Wheeler and Donna (Rocco) Dellaneve and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd from 2-4 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A Funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Inurnment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be offered to the family at Langefuneralhomeinc.com.
