Phyllis Virginia Anderson, age 95, of Troy, Ohio passed away on November 28, 2024 at Koester Pavilion.  She was born on November 6, 1929 in Troy to the late Herbert Otto and Hazel Iona (Billheimer) Butt. She married James Victor Anderson on June 30, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2016.

She is survived by her children: Debbie Barkett of Troy, Mary (Kris) Kramer of Lawrence, Kansas and Jamie (Yuki) Anderson of Troy; five grandchildren: Daniel (Kate) Porazzo, Melissa Porazzo, Trey Barkett, Nick (Momoka) Barkett and Michael Barkett; great grandchildren: Sora Barkett, Nika Barkett, Elizabeth Porazzo and soon to arrive, Vivian Porazzo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law: Herbert and Helen Butt. 

Phyllis was a longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and attended the True Life Community Church.  She retired from Hobart Brothers Company after many years of service. 

She enjoyed crocheting necklaces and making Barbie Doll clothing.  She was a kind and sweet woman who enjoyed making others laugh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the funeral home.
