Shirleen Moeller, age 82, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 3rd at Grace Lutheran Church, Nunda with Rev. Phillip Hofinga officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Monday at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel and will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Prairie Queen Cemetery.
Shirleen Mae Hammer was born November 30, 1941 in Chester, SD, to Emil & Amanda (Eggebraaten) Hammer. She graduated from high school and got married the very next month to Robert Moeller in June of 1959. They made their home on various farms around the Rutland/Flandreau areas. Shirleen worked on the farm while taking care of the three children that she and Robert had together. When the kids were old enough to move out of the house, she started to work outside of the farm doing cleaning at T & R Electric in Colman. In 2002, Robert and she moved to Watertown where she continued to find cleaning jobs at various places around the Watertown area. She was able to retire from working in 2019. In her spare time, she loved to do word games/finds and cooking/baking for her family.
Shirleen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert, Sr. of Watertown, SD; three children, Robert, Jr. (Aimee) of Britton, SD, Suzanne (Mike) Jaton of Rutland and Greg (Peggy) Moeller of Watertown; ten grandchildren, Jessi (Greg) McCormick, Katie (Nate) Pickard, Logan (Samantha) Moeller, Marissa (Derek) Bucher, Jason Jaton, Rebecca (Jim) Dubro, Ethan Jaton, Lisa Moeller, Scott (Lindsey) Moeller and Davis Moeller and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Justin Jaton and nine siblings.
