Johnny Dale Way, 61, son of the late Dolphus and Janie Way, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at his home. Johnny loved his dog Cody, his family, his church family, and especially his special friends, Ellie Castle and her family, and Adam and Lisa Alexander and their family. Johnny was a longtime faithful member of Pinckard Baptist Church.

Johnny will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Kenneth (Ruby) Way, Versailles, Mary Todd, Versailles, Patricia Abney, Versailles, and Brenda Shields, Nicholasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Way, and Robert “Buddy” Way.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bruce officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery where pallbearers will be Dwayne Shields, Robbie Shields, Bobby Way, Wayne Way, Chris Way, and Fred Sigelman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Castle, Matthew Castle, Jordan Abney, and Mike Way. Memorial contributions are suggested to Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home to help with unexpected funeral expenses.
