David Evan Johnson Graveside services for Mr. David Evan Johnson will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, Louisiana under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Bro. Brandon Poole and Bro. Rod Jackson officiating. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until service at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. David was a math teacher and was also in the Navy. Mr. Johnson, 78, of Jena, La. was born August 17, 1940 in Jennings, La. and passed from this life on Saturday October 20, 2018 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Maurice, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Jackson Johnson, father Derward Dennis Johnson, and mother Vera Mae Todd Johnson. Those left to cherish in his memory include his sons, David Chris Johnson and wife Tina of Natchitoches, La., John Johnson and wife Alida of Youngsville, La., five grandchildren, Lisa, Sarah, Matthew, Daniel, and Caleb.
