Juana Victoria Carbajal, 85, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home. Born in Lima, Peru, she was a daughter of the late Antonio Carbajal and Juana Rojas.


She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Juana enjoyed traveling, cooking for the family, doing crossword puzzles, and she loved to dance.


She leaves behind her 2 sons, Edgard Abanto and Jaime Abanto; her 4 daughters, Rosa Abanto, Judith Abanto, Ada Abanto, and Suzanne Abanto; her 1 brother, Jose Plasencia; her 2 sisters, Sonia Spiro and Esther Medelius; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Erick Angel Abanto; 2 brothers, Alejandro Carbajal and Jorge Carbajal; and 2 sisters, Teresa Carbajal and Ivonne Plasencia.


Family and friends are invited to Immaculate Conception Church Hall, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, PA 17350 for a time of viewing from 5PM-7PM.
