Phyllis Ann Carson Bruckse, 88 of Windsor, VA, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Ivey Lee and Helen Louise Britton Carson. She was predeceased by her sweet and loving husband of 63 years, Richard “Dickie” Nicholas Bruckse, her grandson, Steven Christopher Weight, and sisters, Hazel C. Phelps and Linda C. White.

She is survived by her daughters, Victoria B Weight and her husband Jason and Becke B “Buck” West and her husband Johnny; Grandchildren Corey Weight, Joshua West and his wife, Kriston and Brittany W Howell and her husband, Nick; Great Grandchildren (her pride and joy), Harley Howell, Grady and Blakely West, and Weston and Lillian Howell; and her brother Jimmy Carson and his wife, Carolyn. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces and three very special friends, Helen Saunders, Lee Ann Hinton and Cindy Patrick.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, Downtown Suffolk Chapel with Reverend Gary Newsome officiating. Interment will be private at a later date at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
