MARJORIE LOU SCHMITT, 80 of Town of Wagner, WI passed away peacefully at home on Thursday November 28, 2024. Marjorie Lou Borchardt was born on February 12, 1944 in Watertown, WI to Clarence and Helen (Schultz) Borchardt. She was baptized on March 12, 1944 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Watertown. Marjorie was confirmed March 28, 1958 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman, WI and attended Zion School in Clyman for 8 years. She was a 1962 graduate of Watertown High School and a 1963 graduate of Missouri College of Automation.
Marjorie was employed by American Family Insurance in Madison and Aunt Nellie’s Foods in Clyman until her marriage to Casper Schmitt on September 9, 1967 in Waukegan, IL. After raising her family, Marjorie returned to work at Perkins in Watertown and Bresse Blue until it’s closing. Marjorie and Casper moved to Peshtigo in 2010 to be near family. Marjorie was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Menominee.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years: Casper; children: Jacqueline (Bob) Roubal, Jennifer (Drew) Granquist and Jane Tietz; grandchildren: Tim (Lacy) Williams-Schmitt, Matt (Kaycee) Dulak, Caden, Carter and Calli Tietz; great grandchildren: Odin, Daeman, Weylyn, Corben, Titanna, Lucca, Ashleigh and Hailee. Marjorie is further survived by her brother: James (Tena) Borchardt; sister: Susan (Rich) Doman; nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Helen; sister: Beverly (Howard) Mallow; brother: George (Jean) Borchardt; 2 God children: Diane Witte and Ashley Borchardt; and nephew: Brian Mallow.
Visitation for Marjorie will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Menominee on Thursday December 5, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Reverend Paul Cole officiating. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in the spring. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the Schmitt family with arrangements.
