Robert E. Michaud, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, in Ellington, Connecticut, at the age of 69. Born on April 6, 1955, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the beloved son of the late Leo and Theresa (Rioux) Michaud.

Bob graduated from East Hartford High School and dedicated his career to the HVAC industry, retiring in 2020. A devoted father, he spent countless hours coaching his three children in baseball, football, and softball. Bob's passion for life extended to his love of motorcycles, which he shared with his children, grandchildren, and dear friends Peg and Paul. He also enjoyed fishing, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, and spending quality time with his family. His love for nature was evident in his involvement with the Connecticut Bald Eagle Study Group, where he enjoyed studying and tracking bald eagles.

Bob's legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. He was known for his willingness to help anyone in need, his strong work ethic, and his ability to find humor in any situation. Those fortunate enough to know him felt his unwavering love, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He is survived by his loving children, Melissa (Sean) Unger of Enfield, Justin (Katelyn) Michaud of Ellington, Mandy Michaud (Amanda Ferragamo) of Foxboro, and Dave Werner of Windsor; his grandchildren, Arielle Beaudry (Jesse), Jared Cromer, and Gavin, Zoey, and Jack Michaud; his siblings, Mike (Mary Lynn) Michaud and Denise (Steve) Scott; brothers-in-law Peter Romanowski and Bruce Nisbet; his former wife Maryann Michaud; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jackie Michaud, June Romanowski, and Linda Nisbet.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his nurse Jen O’Sullivan from Atrinity Home Health for the love and compassionate care she provided to Bob and his family.

John F. Tierney Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at the family's convenience.
