Annette Gergen Obituary

Annette Theresa Gergen was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Annette passed away peacefully in Bismarck, North Dakota on November 26, 2024 at the age of 89.

Annette was born on November 3, 1935 in Franklin, Minnesota to Louis and Marie. She moved to Minot and worked as an X-ray technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She married Raymond Gergen and together they raised 11 children.

She was an involved grandmother and great-grandmother as well as an active member of her church including teaching catechism for many years. She loved gardening, feeding the many birds that visited her backyard and doing crossword puzzles. She always looked forward to the many visits and get-togethers with her family. She was known for her cinnamon rolls, cookies and other baked treats and she will be remembered by many as a kind and loving friend and prayer warrior. Above all, she prayed tirelessly for the salvation of her family and this was the primary focus of her life.

In Annette's final days, with all her visitors, her one constant request was "Pray for me, pray for my soul". May her memory last forever.

Annette is survived by 10 of her 11 children, Maureen Jesz (Arden), Mike Gergen (Kellie), Mark Gergen (Julie), Michele Koronka (Bernie), Joseph Gergen, John Gergen (Joanne), Tom Gergen, Teresa Haakonson (Chance), Ann Kudrna (Wes) and Timothy Gergen. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren (and counting) as well as by her sister Eileen of Buffalo, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gergen, her son James Gergen and her grandson Martin Jesz.
