Janet Liebel Schluter passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 78. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James F. Schluter, Sr.; her sons, James F. Schluter, Jr. and Jeffery C. Schluter; her sister, Rebecca L. Ferran; her sisters-in-law: Jane Vicknair, Gina Mevers and Cindy Liebel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was reunited with her parents, the late Nicholas J. Liebel, Sr. and the late Jeanne L. Liebel, and her brother, Nicholas J. Liebel, Jr.
Janet was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church wher she worked for over 30 years as the office manager at the rectory. She spent many hours tending to her gardens due to her love of flowers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at St. Christopher the Martyr Church, 3900 Derbigny St, Metairie, LA 70001 on Monday, December 2, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Raymond Igbogidi starting at 11:00 am followed by burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001.
