Richard Robert Gilbert, 55,of Ventnor Heights passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, November 27,2024.

Born October 27, 1969 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he lived in Ventnor Heights, New Jersey, attended Holy Spirit and Atlantic City High Schools and worked locally doing siding and construction. Rich was an artist at heart and spent a lot of his spare time working on his artwork and enjoyed playing his base guitar.

Survivors include his children Dawson Robert Gilbert, Hayley Anne Gilbert and Alana Morgan Gilbert, his brother Robert Walter Gilbert and his wife Lesli, his mother Patricia Gilbert and his grandson Mason Edward Gilbert. Rich was preceded in death by his Father Robert C. Gilbert and his grandparents Robert G. and Edwina Gilbert.

Memorial contributions may be given to The Humane Society of Atlantic County 1401 Absecon Boulevard Atlantic City, NJ.

A viewing will be held at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, on Monday, December 2nd from 5pm-7pm. A second viewing at the funeral home will be held Tuesday December 3rd, from 10am-11am, followed by an 11am service. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
