Beatrice “Jeannie” Nickerson, originally of Milford, MA, passed away peacefully at Waterview Lodge in Ashland, MA on November 27, 2024.

Jeannie was born on August 24, 1934 in Milford, MA to Josephine “Josie” and Carl Nickerson. Jeannie is predeceased by her parents, along with several special aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

She leaves behind special family members and close friends, who will remember her for her sense of humor and generous spirit.

Jeannie was a very hard worker throughout her life and spent many years at Natick Labs and then Framingham State University, where she started in the cafeteria. Many of the students would fondly shout to her by name with their special requests as she flipped burgers on the grill, and she always obliged with a smile. Eventually, she transferred to housekeeping before retiring.

Jeannie was well-known in the town of Uxbridge where she lived for many years before moving to Waterview Lodge in Ashland. She was known on a first name basis with the employees at Hannaford Supermarket, CVS and UniBank. Everyone looked out for her and had a special place in their hearts for her.

Jeannie had a deep love of all animals and gave several dogs and cats a warm comfortable home over the years, namely, Heidi, Freckles, Frasier, and Sammy to mention a few, as well as many rescues of feral cats.

Jeannie had a great love of food, she enjoyed her sweets, especially eclairs! She loved going out to eat and enjoyed her dinners at The Meadowbrook Restaurant.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12,2024 at 9:30AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford, followed by burial in Vernon Grove Cemetery.
